Sirs just wanted to share to you our battle stories that transpired last Sunday game at Camp Masada. Hope that this thread would start a chain reaction for it is also a healthy way or means in keeping the morale of the team intact.
A SOLDIERS STORY

On a sunny afternoon of February 19, 2006, RBG MERCS was assembled and dispatched to staging area Camp Masada, the primary objective of the team is to seek and destroy enemy unit and capture its stronghold. As we go on with our mission briefing LT (team leader of the mission) designated us to form into three squad, HONDO, ROT and CONS was to take and handle our flanking maneuver to the right., LT, ROYG and MIKE will take our flanking to the left, whereas I together with MCLAREN and DT was to positioned in the center and hold long enough for our left and right guys to execute their flanking maneuver.
As the mission started, LT gave the signal to go and we run like we never run before to reached our position, our squad (center) found a trench and crawled to it until reaching the end, at the end of the trench were makeshift foxholes, MCLAREN and DT took the front hole, I took refuge on a foxhole situated below the root of a big tree right side of the two. It was a perfect defense position; two in my squad handle the front whereas I cover our six.
We waited and waited more, until, in a thick lush of bushes we saw movement it was the enemy and they are coming. We heard the first shot and already all hell had broken loose, shots were fired in all directions, and from within this chaos our team started executing our mission, both left and right flanks are on the move, trying so hard to out flanked the enemy but the enemy put up a strong fight. As our team together with some friendlies tried to move further, casualties are mounting visibly in our side, a lot of friendlies are being hit in our right flank, but I together with DT and MCLAREN hold our position for any unexpected flanking movement from the enemy. Upon giving suppressive fire to our teammates, I saw someone in our group got hit, it was HONDO our right flankers, from that moment we lost our initiative, we lost contact with both side of the flankers, and still we can see more and more of our guys being hit until literally our right flank collapsed. MCLAREN already saw this inevitably and had asked DT to go to the right and hold it, DT move out to a good spot where he can defensively hold back the enemy. As I saw again our guys being hit in the left side I felt that this was not good at all, we were fighting a hopeless mission until my fear came into reality when our rear security collapsed, this time I knew that the mission was already gone and now we are fighting for our lives. The three of us in a triangle formation are constantly checking each other whether we are still alive or not, I recalled MCLAREN asking me “ONEAL BUHAY KA PA” and I would answer him back “GOOD PA”.
In this situation three of us already concluded that we were the last squad alive and we knew from that moment that whatever happen we would hold the line. We dug in and positioned ourselves for better cover and delivering small arms fire to hold back the enemy. I also remembered one time that the enemy was shouting threatening and mocking us, at one time they started a countdown, a countdown that would signal all of them to attacked simultaneously, as the countdown reached 0, the enemy delivered a barraged of suppressive fire power towards us and we can see that their advancing towards our position, MCLAREN gave a suppressive fire towards the center, DT to the right and me to the left somehow we got to the point that we foiled that advances. Situation got worse for we are running very low on ammunition, MCLAREN already exhausted his two mag and already in his last, DT also in his last mag and I’m in a point were my mag was half full. Again we heard the enemy signaling for another big push, countdown was again heard and from that point we decided that we will meet them head on, when it reached its point, barrage of firepower was again being thrown to our position but this time we stood our ground and paid them back with a dose of their own medicine suppressive fire. During the gun fight I heard someone shouted aloud “HIT HIT NA”, it was MCLAREN, upon knowing it I thought nuts this is it, I call on to DT if he’s still alive he responded back with a tone of exhaustion, I too were exhausted but we still have an initiative to carry out and that is to stay alive to the end. After assessing our situation, we know for a fact that we would not last for another possible push, we tried falling back but we can’t, every movement we made a barrage of BB will fall upon us, and we had no choice but to stay put and get on with it. Again the enemy shout and a push was being executed, after MCLAREN got hit, some of the enemies got a bit confident and tried charging our stronghold, that’s the biggest mistake they made, running in the open field, and from that mistake we cut them down and like rock they fall one by one. Now the point had reach were I ran out of bullets, DT was still firing at that time but clearly I can see tangoes advancing very close (5 feet away) to our position, all I can do is point my gun towards them and hope to scare them off, But before we were to be overrun the marshal call out that the game was over, finally, we were saved.
I stood up looking for my buddy DT, and was very glad to see him alive. We saw the strength of our opponents and we were out numbered by 20 to 1, we don’t know what happened that day, but all I know is that we never let our comrades down, we were told to hold that position and we did up to the end.
Hope you like my story. I tried to be as accurate as I can remember it, so MCLAREN, DT please input your side to this story for I maybe forgetting something in that event.
